Through our robust internship program, you'll make connections that can lead to rewarding RMI careers helping people and individuals manage and anticipate risk. Nearly 90% of our students complete at least one paid internship before graduation. Earn Your State Producer License Before You Complete Your B.S.B.A.

Even before you complete your business degree at 快猫成版视频, you'll have the opportunity to complete your state producer license in Alabama, allowing you to sell insurance products in the state. Most 快猫成版视频 students earn their state producer license in their second semester of the risk management degree program.

Dr. Courtney Baggett

Dr. Courtney (Bass) Baggett, Director of the risk management and insurance program, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics, Finance and Risk Management and Insurance. A 2012 graduate of TROY's RMI program, Dr. Baggett was appointed director of the RMI program in August 2019. She earned her Ph.D. at Florida State University in 2016 and holds the CPCU, ASLI and ARM professional designations.

Dr. Dan Yang

Dr. Dan Yang, Assistant Professor of Risk Management and Insurance, joined the Sorrell College of Business faculty in 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Actuarial science from Temple University. She has worked in national and international accounting firms in China.
