"Sound of the South" Trojan Band Day 2024

Dear Band Directors, 

On behalf of The 快猫成版视频 鈥淪ound of the South鈥 Marching Band,  in conjunction with Trojan Athletics, it is my privilege to invite you to Trojan Band Day 2024. Band Day will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 快猫成版视频鈥檚 Veterans Memorial Stadium. For those of you who have attended Band Day in the past, we welcome you to return to 快猫成版视频. If you are considering participation for the first time, we welcome you and your students to this great event that will prove to be memorable, and inspiring to all your staff and band students. This year, your band, staff, and chaperones will be our distinguished guests for an exciting competition on the gridiron between our 快猫成版视频 Trojans and Florida A&M University. Your band will participate in the Trojan Victory March Parade before kick-off and also participate in a mass-band performance led by the 鈥淪ound of the South鈥 on the football field during half-time! 

If you are interested in participating, please register by completing the registration form located below before Monday, September 2, 2024. ALL REGISTRATION WILL BE DONE ONLINE THIS YEAR. Please note, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you provide a correct email address that you check regularly.  All information and correspondence, including music, will be sent via email and also posted on our web site. This method of communication should be beneficial to everyone and provide a fast turnaround time for all materials related to your Band Day performance. It is common for last-minute changes to take place, due to a variety of reasons (television, ESPN, the opposing school鈥檚 needs, etc.).  

More information on game and morning rehearsal time will be announced at a later date. Specific details regarding the time of the parade line up, half-time show, and stadium seating will be emailed to you following our receipt of your registration form. The morning rehearsal will last approximately 45 minutes. This rehearsal allows us to make any final adjustments that may be necessary due to last-minute changes. The 鈥淭rojan Victory March鈥 parade will line-up in front of Smith Hall, approximately 3 hours before kick-off, and step off 2 hours before kick-off. If there is time available between the rehearsal and parade line-up; I encourage you to tour our beautiful campus, and boosters may plan lunch for their bands by organizing picnics, etc. But, please be aware of the schedule of events. You are welcome to set up small tents and tables. Please keep in mind, space is limited; first come, first serve.  All band members must wear their band uniforms to be admitted to the game (due to the weather, we encourage you to use a modified uniform 鈥 khaki shorts and band t-shirts, etc.).  Please limit chaperones to 1 chaperone per 10 band students (this includes directors, bus drivers, runners, and parents). Group tickets prices are available, but they must be purchased before game day through the ticket office, or online; more information regarding the Band Day promotional code will be emailed at a later date.
