Jones Hall - Health Sciences Building

About the Project

The new Health Sciences building planned for ��è�ɰ��Ƶ’s flagship campus in Troy, Ala., will serve as a catalyst for learning and research while addressing the need for qualified health professionals throughout the state. The building would include labs for exercise science, biomechanics, and movement education; simulation spaces, including more than 30 hospital beds; and increased classroom spaces including a 150-seat theater.

Billy and Frances Jones ��è�ɰ��Ƶ alumnus, Billy Jones, is President of Crowne Management, LLC, which operates 17 nursing homes in Alabama, from Mobile to Huntsville, along with assisted living and therapy facilities, a home health care and hospice service. Jones is seeking to help TROY students who want to enter health sciences fields with a gift of $2 million. TROY Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. said, “This type of generous gift will have a transformative impact on our programming and how we serve and equip health sciences students for their vital roles within the workforce. We often say that the most important thing we do at ��è�ɰ��Ƶ is serve students. Mr. Jones’ generous gift is evidence of the culture of caring that exists at ��è�ɰ��Ƶ, not only among our faculty and staff, but also among our alumni. This will impact ��è�ɰ��Ƶ students for generations to come.”
