This EEO Public File Report is filed in the public inspection files for stations WTSU(FM), WRWA(FM), and WTJB(FM) part of Troy Public Radio network; pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the Federal Communications Commission's ("FCC") rules.

MENU OPTION ACTIVITIES

Stations WTSU(FM), WRWA(FM), and WTJB(FM) have engaged in the following outreach activities during the period covered by this Report:

Activity Classification Type of Activity Brief Description
EEO Staff Training All staff are encouraged to enroll in workshops and training programs administered by the licensee ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ. These workshops include diversity training and manager training. Workshops include online elements.
EEO Mentoring

Operations Manager and Executive Producer Kyle Gassiott is a frequent guest speaker for journalism classes in the Hall School of Journalism at ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ.

He is also responsible for the station's Next Generation Producers program in which he mentors students in: news gathering, audio production, marketing/development, professional decorum, and job application skills. In the period of time referenced by this report Gassiott has worked with five student producers.

EEO Mentoring/Interns Operations Manager and Executive Producer Kyle Gassiott is also responsible for the station's Next Generation Producers (Internship) program in which he mentors students in: news gathering, audio production, marketing/development, professional decorum, and job application skills. In the period of time referenced by this report Gassiott has worked with five student producers. Graduates from the program have gone on to professional positions with NPR news, EW Scripps News Service, and Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
EEO Jobs/Career Fairs ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ – Hall School of Journalism J-Day, Spring 2014 ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ Campus, Hall School of Journalism, Wallace Hall Operations manager Kyle Gassiott held three sessions for high school students interested in radio and radio journalism. Students were given hands on experience with audio production, editing, and reporting. Information was distributed outlining possible jobs in public radio and opportunities at the station.
EEO Outreach Troy Public Radio participates yearly in the National Day of Listening the day after Thanksgiving where individuals are encouraged to record an oral history with a loved one. Activities include on-air and online promotion and small group presentations. Individuals interested in recording an oral history are encouraged to contact the station for assistance.
